Story
The story follows Rosa, a young teen spending time in her family's beach house. One night, she sees a mysterious lady in the sea. After approaching her to see if she was alright, she discovers the lady is a spirit that comes back to this beach from time to time. The spirit offers to tell her an old tale, and Rosa will discover this tale is more connected to her than she imagined.
This story was actually inspired by an old Brazilian fairy tale called "Porque o mar tanto chora" that translates to "Why does the sea cry so much?". I maintained the original tale very similar, but I added my own twist to it.
This Visual Novel is also quite short so you can finish it in one sitting!
About Inktober
This visual novel was done during Inktober. Inktober is an event that happens every year during October, in which artists challenge themselves to make one drawing in ink every day for the entire month. The challenge became more popular and many people started doing Inktober digitally. I decided I would create one piece of art for this visual novel every day during October instead of a traditional Inktober. Since Inktober started with ink and most art was black and white, I decided to keep most of the art in this game black and white. The entire process was documented in my YouTube Channel and my Tiktok in the form of short videos, so please check them out if you're interested in seeing the whole process!

This story was certainly a hidden gem and I am so happy I was able to play it. Such great visuals, music, and writing. I enjoyed it immensely!

The art is very pretty and the story very interesting.
The only downside I had was that the pictures were blurred when they appeared and it completely ruined one animation, maybe there’s a setting to change in renpy or something ?
