The writing is pretty great (even though I spotted some grammatical errors here and there (I know you all are going for a poem-y sort of writing, but still, I felt like you were pushing the grammar a bit at some points)) and I really, really enjoyed the art direction. The game really captured that ancient greek look.

Programming and gameplay are a bit on the wonky end, though - the game doesn't seem that technically demanding to necessitate a loading screen. In fact, the whole experience could've been way better, in my opinion, if everything got a 10-20% speed increase. Like, I'd have enjoyed it more if the main character and Medusa both were a bit faster.

Finally, I feel obliged to bring this up: why did you enter this game for the "Certamente não é outra game jam" jam? I mean, clearly you've worked on this game for way longer than just one week... Am I missing something, or...?

In summary, I enjoyed the beginning of the game (with all the story, art and writing) but felt like the gameplay itself was slow.

Oh my, now this is a dream review, thank you very much for your input, sir!

I feel compelled to answer it all, if I may.

Concerning the writing, we have a newer and shorter script ready that hasn't been implemented to the game yet, so hopefully that'll solve any issues.

About the loading screen, we had some issues with the loading time at first, so we thought best to have one.

Also, thank you for the idea of speeding the characters up! We'll be considering it, pinky promise~

About the game jam thing... This game was started during a previous game jam, and "Certamente não é outra game jam" was a continuation of sorts to that one, so we were allowed to work on this project again. It's confusing, sorry about that O-O

All that said, thank you very much for your review, we appreciate it and we hope you'd like to play our game again when it's more polished! =D

tl; dr: you're very cool for giving us such a detailed review, thanks ^o^)/

Hello! Thank you for the feedback. We are glad to know that you enjoyed theart, and to receive your feedback about the gameplay speed. With your feedback, we can evaluate our gameplay and think about ways of improving it <3

About the game jams: the "Certamente não é outra game jam" allowed participants to work on past projects, or projects they had started on the prequel jam ("Certamente não é a Meeting Jam"). We submitted some tiny fixes for this jam, but the whole game idea itself, indeed, emerged during the previous game jam.

I am one of the jam organizers, and I believe you are a member of our Discord server. I'm pleased to tell you there will be lots of online game jams hosted there this year, and I invite you to join them all and to follow this project as it evolves and improves. With more of your reviews, I believe we can improve a lot our game.

Thank you for your attention!

Hey, a fellow Godot user! I managed to get through. I would get frustrated, but then I would persevere and solve it. That might mean it's the right amount of difficulty (or maybe I'm just not that good :). I would put a loading screen in the beginning, because even with the Windows version on a beefy machine, whatever it was doing when I hit Play took a long time. Knowing it's loading (or whatever) will help with that. Really nice graphics, relaxing music, and some clever mechanics. I enjoyed it!

Thank you! <3  We're all glad you enjoyed the game!  And thank you for the loading screen suggestion, I have already started working on the art for the screen !

Interesting game, very slow on my computer in the html version. That's too bad.

Thanks for playing the game and for the feedback!!!!!!!

It's still in development, so we hope it'll not be a problem in the future.
